    Hi,
I go for walk (brisk to medium speed) on & off.
I don't run because I think my pair of shoe may not protect me from the impact of running & in long run I may have joint problems due to this. Same is the reason, I don't skip rope as every accessible surface I have, is either a cemented one or the track in the park (which again has some cement tiles).
So, please suggest me how do I make sure that I can run and/or skip rope but not have any negative side effect(s).

    Regards
    Vikas

    Thanks Himanshu & Varun,
I want to run outdoors only & in the park (it is generally the case in Bangalore) no-one is allowed to even walk on the grass. So, I am left with only option of running on hard surface. For skipping the rope, anywhere my place I can choose but the surface is cemented all around.
Not sure about the impact of running vs rope skipping (shoes & surface remain the same).
Coming to shoes, I am utterly confused as shoes ranging from Rs. 1,000 to Rs. 10,000 are available. Every brand has it's own "technology". I want running to be a "low cost" activity and would rather spend money on nutritious food.

Where do you guys run (surface) & what kind of shoes you wear ?

In general, liked what the article says. Some time back, I stopped taking stairs. After reading this article, at least today I'll go to ground floor taking stairs.

Not sure whether all of this is relevant in Indian context.
Getting an exercise ball in office is impractical and impossible for most of us. Same goes for keeping fitness equipments in office.

In total, interesting and useful article. keep publishing more such articles.

    Manoj,
Just adding to what Sujeetha mentioned.

Green tea will not taste as your regular black tea and not even look the same. It will give a dirty, light greenish color to water.

Sharing how I prepare my green tea:

You put tea bag or tea leaves in the a cup and pour boiling water (have sugar already added to water, if you want). Cover it for a minute or so and your tea is ready. In case you are using tea bag, dip in and out for a while.

    Variations :
I love lemon flavor, so If you like, add few drops of lemon like me.
I love drinking warm tea, so I drink from the cup but you can keep the cup in fridge for cooling and add Ice cubes later - Iced green tea.
Some people use honey instead of sugar, I don't.

    Hope this helps.
