I am not able to increase my pace. I start off quick but after 2 km, I start to slow down. How can I increase my pace?

The calories that you should be having daily depends upon your weight loss goal and your current daily calorie requirement.

If you login into your LifeMojo account and set a weight goal, you will start seeing your calorie requirement for the day with a weekly calorie budget. Just follow that and lose your weight. I myself have lost close to 3kg in 1 months.

I prefer to walk at a slow to moderate pace in between my runs whenever I am tired. I have noticed that if I stop completely then it is very difficult to start running again (except when I stop to take some water for 10-20 seconds).

Infact, some of the beginner running plans ask you to alternate runs and walks (like 5 min running and 2 min walking, total 5 times).

Just read about a latest research on the effect of just exercising on weight loss. According to the research:

"Few people achieve significant weight loss with exercise alone, not without changing their eating habits."

"The research data demonstrate that significant and meaningful health benefits can be achieved even in the presence of lower than expected exercise-induced weight loss. Less successful reduction in body weight does not undermine the beneficial effects of aerobic exercise."

What is better to have during longer runs (more than 10 km):
    - Eating banana
    - Having Electrol or Gatorade
    - Eating protein bars
    - Just Water

I also want to know, at what time should we eat this to get the best benefit?

Today morning, after the run, I started feeling some pain in my right ankle. It does not feel like some muscle injury. I want to know what kind of injury it can be and what is the treatment for it ?

If the surface of the park (I mean the grass part) is not uneven and little soft, then I will recommend running on the grass part slowly. Running on soft surface won't put as much impact on your knees as running on road or park track.

Better still, buy a good pair of running shoes and start running with them.

I have not yet started preparing for it yet. Last year I participated with a very less training and it showed in my finish tome of around 75 minutes. This year my goal is going to be to finish within 60 minutes.

I will be starting the preparation around 2 months before the race. Currently I have stopped running for the past 20 days because of the ankle injury that I got during my last run.

As far as I have heard, the ideal dinner time should be 2-3 hours before going to bed as this gives time for the body to digest the same. If you go to sleep right after dinner time then there are going to some digestion problem as metabolism slows down while you are asleep.
