    Hi Velan

Fenugreek has this property of reducing the sugar levels. but that is in case where sugar levels are elevated. if a non diabetic consumes fenugreek in the morning , it should be taken in limited amount that is only 1 tsp. It also helps in regulating your appetite by controlling the sugar peaks. and if you want to take fenugreek for weight purpose, then soaking the fenugreek seeds overnight and having it in morning is more beneficial.

I agree with every single response here .. if u comppare thn dark chocklat is anyway better . but you cant ignore the fact that it has caffeine and too much of it can lead to health problems. it increases your blood pressure by causing vaso constriction , it can lead to insomnia , anxiety and can also reduce the control of fine motor movements. hence eat dark chocklates but only once in limitation .

    Hi Matt ,

Acid reflux itself is a symptom of dyspepsia / indigestion. If you are facing this problem , plz eat your meals regularly and make sure you dont overeat them , havbing atleast 5 small meals a day is beneficial. make sure you intake a lot of water and other fluid in terms of coconut water , or buttermilk.and dont lye down immediately after your meal. walk in slow pace for around 5-10 min, to avoid the reflux.

    Hi Dhara,
1] A high protein diet is given for weight loss only in case where the person is working out... so that the person doesnt lose the lean body mass, but only the extra fat weight. for those who are not working out, the extra protein might not really work for weight loss, but may rather lead to increse in the muscle weight of the body. hence we can decide on the protein part only if you are working out.

2] same again , whether or not protein will work in weight loss depends on the above mentioned factor, and anywaz protein are a little difficult to digest, taking too much protein for you dinner might lead to indigestion , gas formation and other such problems, hence it is best to avoid too much protein for dinner, if you are taking mung soup, for dinner, nmake sure that the amount of water is more , and a very minimum amount of mung used. if possible, take this soup at around 7.00 - 7.30, to make sure that it gets digested well.

3] dont decrease your water intake, as your body needs a lot of water while you are on a weight loss regime, to get rid of the toxins produced in the body due to increased metabolic rate as well s the break down of the fat cells. rather more is the urination , healthier is the weight loss. the weight increse that u notice after so much of water intake is becoz, your weight is not only your fat weight but also , muscles , bones and water in ypour body contribuite to the weight. water being highly mobile, it quickly shifts to the instestine , and you will notice an increased frequency of urination. hence dont worry abt this weight, as this will be gone at the end of day. just make sure , you dont over do this and bloat your stomach, it will leave you with a very uneasy feeling, hence take only a glass or 2 at one time, and keep some gap for your next water intake.

    Hi Manoj,

The best way of getting rid oof fat, and not weight , is by working out.Anaerobic exercises utilises fat faster and better. strength training, weight lifting are the kind of exercises, which will help u burn your fat and give a good tone to your muscles. also make sure you take good quality protein foods as suggested by sujeetha, this will help in increasing the muscle mass, and decreasing the fat mass.

    Hi Ilavenil,

feeling dull, sleepy and weak can be due to many reason .. you'll have to first try to make out the reason behind this problem, which can be , under eating/stress/ not completing your sleepy/psychological pressure or may be some illness. (like jaundice / or low heamoglobin levels) its very ifficult to suggest you on this, unless the reason behind it is known. but sure you can try to incorporate more of vit c and e in your diet, as these have a lot of antioxidants and will help in combating stress. try including all bright coloured veggies and fruits. like lemon/ apple/ oranges/ sweetlime/ pear. green leafy veggies too would help. grab a glass of milk just before you go to bed. to get a sound sleep.

Hi , some vegetables like - garlic and onions, broccoli, cabbage, kale, Brussels sprouts and greens, carrots, celery, cilantro, parsley and parsnips, tomatoes, peppers, flax seeds, citrus fruits , all act as general anti- cancer foods.

Compounds that help regulate the cell cycle include diindolymethane (DIM) , apigenin, curcumin , epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), resveratrol from red grapes and peanuts, genistein from soybeans and carotenoids. These are natural fat-soluble pigments found in certain plants. They provide the bright red, orange, yellow, blue and purple colorations found in the vegetable kingdom. Famous members of this family include beta-carotene found in carrots, spinach, kale and cantaloupe; lycopene found in tomatoes, pink grapefruit, watermelon, papaya, and apricots; and lutein, found in dark green leafy vegetables and blueberries.

    Hi sanghmitra,

Winter comes with a lot of skin problem. and trust me 80 of it can be tackled by keeping yourself hydrated. i mean, drink enough water / fruit juices. water is one thing we tend to neglect in winters. also dun directly jump to supplements, as natural way is the best way, for a long term result. include sprouts in ur diet for vit b. and have a glass of warm water and lemon early in the morning as well as just before going to bed, vit c will help you in healing and getting the glow back. and for vit e, you can use the capsules, but not internally. i mean , just make a hole in the capsule using a safety pin , and take a drop of it and mix it with a night cream for night and your day cream for day time. and gently massage ur face.

if fat reduction is your goal, try anaerobic exercises they are very good when it comes to burning fat. sprints, sprint swimming, shot put , discuss throw , javeline throw are other few events in which you can participate. strength training converts fat in to muscles and changes the body composition to a healthier one .
