  • Potato Skin: Regularly rubbing the affected area of the skin with potato for a few days, will help you to get rid of mild skin tans.
  • Raw Potatoes: Potatoes have bleaching effect. Cut thin slices of raw potatoes and place them on the affected area and leave it for some time. Then you can massage your skin lightly with these slices. This will rectify your skin tone apart from getting rid of skin tan.
  • Lemon and Turmeric: A mixture of lemon and turmeric, when applied to skin, acts as natural bleach and helps in removing the tan.

Home Remedies, In Case You Have Severe Tanning

  • Glycerin, Lemon and Sugar Mixture: A blend of glycerin, lemon and sugar when used as a scrub or applied as a paste on the affected area helps in getting the optimum results.
  • Mixture of Yogurt and Orange Peel: Yogurt blended with dry orange peel can be applied on the affected skin. Leave it for 30 minutes and then wash it off with cold water. Orange peel aids in maintaining the oil balance of the skin, and reduces greasiness. It also helps to open the skin pores, removes the dry and the dead skin cells and causes the skin to look cleaner and brighter.
  • Juices of Raw Potato and Lemon: Juice of raw potatoes mixed with juice of lemon, if applied on the affected skin may act as a good remedy to remove skin tan effectively. Try doing this for at least once a day for a week and you will notice the results.
  • Cucumber Juice With Chilled Milk: Cucumber juice when mixed with chilled milk has similar effects. The effects are pleasing and you will observe visible brightness in your skin. Try it out for a week to see noticeable effects!
  • Mixture of Honey and Lemon Juice: Honey when mixed with lemon juice, helps not only in getting rid of the tan, but it is equally effective against burnt marks, black spots and blemishes. Honey contains sulfur, chlorine, iron, copper, zinc, vitamins B1, B2, B3 and B5, magnesium and potassium. This blend of vitamins and minerals makes honey a very good skin nutrient.
  • Juices of Aloe Vera and Lemon: A mixture of Aloe Vera juice and lemon juice, helps to make the skin brighter and softer. It cleans the pores and provides nourishment to the skin.
