Nowadays, the concept of home gyming is spreading like wildfire. Going to the gym is not possible for everyone, and therefore it is wise to set up your own gym at home. You don't have to invest a huge amount for this. As a starting point, you can begin with some of the simplest tools which are not just inexpensive but convenient to handle and store too. Let's check them out.

3 Best Home Workout Tools

1. Exercise Ball

Exercise ball is often referred to as a Swiss ball or just "ball," and is also known by numerous other names, including balance ball, birth ball, body ball, fitness ball, gym ball, gymnastic ball, physio ball, pilates ball, Pezzi ball, sports ball, stability ball, Swedish ball, therapy ball, or yoga ball.

It is an air-filled ball made up of elastic soft PVC with a diameter of approximately 35 to 85 centimeters. It is most often used in physical therapy and athletic training. However, now it is widely used by the general population to do their routine exercises. It is used for balance training and core strengthening. It can also be used for weight training as part of a general fitness routine and can be incorporated with alternative exercise methods, such as yoga and Pilates.

The primary benefit of exercising with an exercise ball is achieving balance. As opposed to exercising directly on a hard, flat surface, the body responds to the instability of the ball to remain balanced, engaging many more muscles. These muscles become stronger over time to keep the balance. Most frequently, the core body muscles - the abdominal muscles and back muscles - are the focus of exercise ball fitness programs.

2. Medicine Ball

Medicine balls are the weighted balls often used for rehabilitation and strength training. It should not be confused with the larger, inflated exercise balls. Medicine balls are usually sold as 2- to 25-pound balls (about 1 kg to 12 kg weight) and are used effectively in weight training. Medicine balls are found to be effective in increasing the core strength. You can also strengthen your arm, chest, and leg muscles. Some of the important exercises include: lifting the ball or performing different exercises such as sit‐ups, leg raises, etc., with the ball, in order to increase the stress on a particular muscle.

3. Resistance Bands and Tubes

Resistance bands and tubes are one of the most compact and inexpensive workout tools. Resistance band exercises are widely used by a variety of health and fitness practitioners for general strength and conditioning and rehabilitation or injury prevention. Resistance band exercises are ideal for home exercise programs and can easily be incorporated into circuit training for strengthening specific muscle groups. Resistance tube is similar to resistance band but comparatively more durable and ergonomically better than resistance band workouts.

Resistance bands and tubes are so compact and lightweight that it can be used while away from home. Smaller muscle groups that are hard to train with more traditional free weight exercises can be easily targeted with this. Compared to heavy dumbbells and barbells, the risk of injury and accidents is much less, and that is what makes it more appealing to use at home.

Now, excuses will not work. Weather, traffic jams, or distance -- nothing can deter you from working out regularly and carving out a healthier body! All you need now is the motivation and 2 or 3 pieces of equipment, which can be tucked away in any corner of your house... and lo and behold, you are all set to roll!
