Moong Dal Soup Recipe
Moong dal soup (green gram soup) is easy to make and appeases hunger very well. It is something which you can have during any time of the day. Since this soup contains no corn flour and toned milk, it has less calories and very good for weight loss.

Ingredients (Makes 4 Serving)
- 1/2 cup whole sabut moong dal (whole green gram) - preferably sprouted
- 1 tsp oil
- 1 tbsp tamarind (imli) paste
- 4 cloves garlic (lahsun) - crushed
- 1/4 cup chopped fenugreek leaves (methi)
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Steam dal with chopped methi leaves in 3 cups water for 5 minutes or till soft.
- Add tamarind paste and blend in a blender. Add salt to taste.
- In another saucepan,heat oil; put jeera,when it splutters, add crushed garlic.
- Pour it over the dal, and simmer for 5 minutes.
