Ingredients (Makes 4 Serving)

  • Rice (red rice) - 5 tbsp
  • Skimmed milk - 5 cups
  • Almonds, blanched & crushed – 8 to 10
  • Jaggery (gur) / Sweetener, grated – 4 tbsp
  • Green cardamom (elaichi) powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Rose water - 1 tsp
  • Pista blanched silvered – 4 to 6

Instructions

  1. Soak the rice in the water for 30 mins.
  2. Remove the water from rice & grind it to make a smooth paste.
  3. Dilute the rice paste in water in half cup of water and keep aside. Boil milk in a non-stick saucepan.
  4. Reduce heat and add the diluted rice mixture into milk.
  5. Cook on medium flame for about five minutes or till the mixture thickens. Stir continuously.
  6. Add jaggery, crushed almonds and green cardamom powder.
  7. Reduce heat and cook till jaggery has completely dissolved.
  8. Remove from heat & mix with rose water.
  9. Pour into separate serving bowls.
  10. Garnish with Pista.
  11. Chill it in the refrigerator for an hour before serving.
