Dhokla Pizza Recipe

This low calorie dhokla pizza is a very nutritious snack for the health conscious people to relish.

Ingredients (Makes 4 Serving)

  • Green gram dal (moong dal) - 1 cup
  • Blackgram dal (Urad dal) - 2 tbsp
  • Rice - 1/2cup
  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • Salt - 2 tsp
  • Yeast granules - 2 tsp or Curd – 2 tbsp
  • Tomato pulp with salt & pepper to taste - 2 tbsp
  • Cabbage (shredded) - 1 small piece
  • Capsicum (sliced) - 1 small
  • Paneer (crumbled) - 100 gm

Instructions

  1. Soak rice and dal in water for 2 hrs.
  2. Grind the dal-rice mixture to a fine paste.
  3. Soak the yeast granules with salt in a little warm water for 5 minutes.
  4. Add to the dal mixture & mix it thoroughly. Leave it to ferment for 2 hrs. Or if you are adding curd, add curd to the dal mix and leave for 2 hours.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased shallow vessels & top it with tomato pulp, shredded cabbage, sliced capsicum & crumbled paneer.
  6. Bake in a moderate oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or steam in a pressure-cooker (as for dhoklas) for 15 minutes.
