Amrud ki Sabji Recipe
Ripe guavas (amrud) turned into a tangy dish when cooked with Indian spices. This has sweet and slightly tangy taste.

Ingredients (Makes 4 Serving)
- Ripe guavas (amrud), 1 inch pieces peeled - 5-6 medium
- Ghee - 1/2 tablespoon
- Asafoetida (Hing) - a pinch
- Panch phoran (mixture of fenugreek (methi) seeds, cumin (jeera), mustard (sarson) seeds, fennel (saunf) and cumin (jeera) seeds) - 1 teaspoon
- Red chilli powder - 3/4 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
Instructions
- Heat ghee in a kadai and add asafoetida and panch phoran.
- When a nice aroma is given out, add guava pieces and stir.Add red chilli powder, salt and sugar and mix.
- Add half a cup of water, cover and cook on low heat for seven to eight minutes or till the guava pieces become soft. Serve hot.
