We know that "he" will relieve us one day from all our pains, anxieties, responsibilities, relationships, engagements and titles. We know that one day "he" will make us to get "mixed" in the air that surrounds us. But we do not know or even guess the form, which he will assume to approach us. In simple words, we know that death will take away our souls one day, but we do not know how it will strike us. And all that we can do is to pray to God for giving us a peaceful death without involving a lot of sufferings.

Healthy Lifestyle May Lower Women's Risk of Sudden Cardiac Death: Study

This particular feeling rests in our own individual minds only and we often dream of sudden death or dying while we are asleep. But we definitely do not want our loved ones to pass away without a "notice" or without giving us a chance to serve them. Sudden cardiac problems may lead to sudden death and this is the area which generates maximum concern in our minds, thereby compelling us to advise our near and dear ones on health lifestyle policies.

A recent study has claimed that women with healthy lifestyle may keep themselves safe from sudden cardiac death. When death occurs within the very first hour after the commencement of symptoms without leaving any evidence of circulatory collapse, then it is to be described as sudden cardiac death.

Researchers at Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, Boston analyzed the records of 81, 722 women. Assessment of lifestyle and associated risks was conducted with the use of questionnaires after every 2 to 4 years.

A low risk lifestyle should typically involve a BMI less than 25, half an hour of daily exercise and a diet consisting of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, fish and legumes. And yes, smoking is not included in this lifestyle, which may still allow alcohol intake in a moderate level.

An analysis of the data revealed incidents of sudden cardiac death in 321 women with an average age of 72 years during the study period of 26 years. An inverse relationship was found between sudden cardiac death and healthy lifestyle factors mentioned before. A low BMI (the value ranging from 21 to 24.9) signified a lower SCD risk.

It was noted that women, who maintained a healthy lifestyle had a 92 percent lower risk of sudden cardiac death. But this issue may still remain as a major challenge because history has shown that many individuals, considered to be at a lower risk, have passed away without any intimation. "Lucky fellows".
