Hanging and swinging a bunch of grapes in front of your partner and then snatching it away for inserting a few into your mouth may add some drama into your romance. Popping some grapes into your mouth may be a great time pass to keep your mouth moving. And in that process, you may stay protected against Alzheimer 's disease. This is what the Mount Sinai School of Medicine researchers have to say.

The polyphenols present in grape seeds have been found to prevent the progress of Alzheimer's disease. The study intended to examine the effect of the grape polyphenols on the neurotoxins called β-amyloid (Aβ) peptide, which is known for causing Alzheimer's.
Polyphenolic extracts were administered into genetically engineered mice, which were susceptible to develop memory problems and Aβ neurotoxins. A significant reduction in the brain content of Aβ*56 came to be noted. Aβ*56 is a form of the Aβ neurotoxins which are believed to promote memory loss.
This finding surely promises the growth of the industry which involves the production of commercially available polyphenols. Researchers have mentioned that they need to look for a biomarker of the disease so that the symptoms can be identified soon. They have also explained that the polyphenols can still be effective in case the disease has progressed.
