The world is becoming aware of the importance of exercises and many are trying hard to excrete out some good amounts of sweat. People now know well that "what" they take in should give out as well. But this will not discourage the birth of new discoveries. The world of science is left with much more to offer to us.

Researchers at the Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg, have found out that exercises impact the cell formation in the intervertebral discs in a positive way. The study was conducted on rats as subjects.
The rats were made to undergo treadmill exercises. Researchers tried to examine the formation of new cells in the intervertebral discs of the rats which had undergone treadmill exercises for about one hour per day. They also compared the number with that of the rats which were just allowed to move around the cage. The findings revealed that physical exercises greatly influence the intervertebral discs in a positive way.
Disc degeneration is the main cause of back pain and now researchers have shown interest to find out whether exercise can influence the degenerated discs in the same way. They now intend to find out the specific effects on the exercises on discs and the optimal exercise level for treating back pain at the same time.
