Health Tip for 22 June, '10

To prevent fatigue, eat foods rich in iron like raisins (kishmish), spinach (palak), liver, fish, apricots and iron-fortified cereals.

Iron is a mineral that makes up an important part of haemoglobin, which is found in the red blood cells that carries oxygen throughout the body. If you do not get enough iron from your diet, your body cannot produce an adequate amount of haemoglobin. This means necessary oxygen can't get through to yout tissues, muscles and brain, and you will grow tired.
