Health Tip for 13 September, '11

To prevent bad breath, brush your tongue along with your teeth to remove odor-causing bacteria.

Use a toothbrush (with tongue cleaner on the back of the toothbrush) or a specialized tongue brush to clean your tongue. After cleaning your teeth, flip the toothbrush over to the tongue cleaner. Start as far back as possible and then make brush strokes outward, toward the front of your mouth. This might make you gag a bit, but there are many bad breathing causing germs on the back of your tongue.

A study conducted by the University of Buffalo dental researchers confirmed that brushing twice a day with an antibacterial toothpaste and using a toothbrush with a tongue cleaner can eliminate bad breath.
