Replace simple with complex carbohydrates. This means eating less of white rice, white bread & more of whole grains (brown rice, whole wheat bread).

Complex carbohydrates are the healthy carbs or good carbs which are digested slowly, helping you feel full longer and keeping blood sugar and insulin levels stable. Complex carbs include whole grains, fruits, vegetables and beans.
