Health Tip for 05 August, '11

Practice deep breathing regularly as it improves blood circulation, thus increasing & improving the supply of oxygen to the body organs.

To perform deep breathing exercise, sit up straight with shoulders relaxed and eyes closed. Make sure you are wearing loose clothes as tight-fitting pants or belts can interfere with the body's ability to intake air. Take a deep breath through your nose, expanding your belly. Hold your breath for a count of five and slowly exhale through your mouth. Repeat 10 to 15 times. To ensure that you are breathing properly, place your hand on your stomach and notice that it should move out and back in as you inhale and exhale.
