Never arrive at the party on an empty stomach

Most dinner parties tend to start late, as a result you will end up bingeing on fried starters or calorie-laden food.
To avoid this have a small snack or platter of fruit before you leave home. Opt for sauteed vegetables, which taste better than deep-fried and will also make you feel lighter.
