Health Tip for 23 November, '09

Laugh more as it reduces risk of heart disease. Research shows laughing improves the function of blood vessels and increases blood flow.

This positive effect lasted for 30-45 minutes. Also, the researchers found that people with heart disease were 40 percent less likely to laugh in a variety of situations compared to people of the same age without heart disease. Laughing has previously been found to help fight infections, ease pain and help control diabetes.
