In gym, check that the seat height & other settings are appropriate for you. A seat too high/low can place abnormal stress on your joints.

Many machines in the gym are designed for someone 5'9" tall. Also, as the machine is being shared by many people, the settings may not be right for you. Have a trainer help you find a setting right for you.
