Health Tip for 27 January, '10

If your teeth are sensitive to hot or cold, choose a desensitizing paste with strontium chloride or potassium nitrate as an added ingredient

Desensitizing toothpastes are made for short-term use and usually provide pain relief within a few weeks. Expect it to take about four to six weeks to see improvement in sensitivity. If your teeth are still sensitive after 4 to 6 weeks of use, you should see your dentist.
