If you are gifting chocolate to your valentine, then go with dark chocolate as it is also a healthy treat.

Dark chocolate contains flavonoids, which have been shown to be good for the heart as well as helpful in delaying or preventing the onset of diseases (such as cancer) induced by free radicals. Look for dark chocolate that contain atleast 60 percent cocoa to get the most health benefits.

However, dark chocolate is still a calorie rich food with a high sugar and fat content, so moderate the amount of chocolate intake in order to enjoy optimum health benefits.
