For a good sleep & to wake up fresh, try to eat a light dinner 2 hours before sleeping. Also, avoid coffee, sugar or alcohol just before bed.

If you're prone to heartburn, avoid spicy or fatty foods at night as they can make your heartburn flare and prevent a restful sleep. Having caffeine, sugar or too much alcohol just before sleeping may upset your intestines in such a way that you will have a very light sleep that doesn't recharge you at all.
