Eating magnesium rich foods like spinach, whole grains and nuts, can reduce your risk of developing type 2 diabetes by up to 34 percent.

Two new studies done over several years suggest that including magnesium-rich foods in your diet can significantly lower the risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The risk is even reduced for obese people who are at high risk already.
