Health Tip for 07 July, '10

Before doing strength training exercises, warm up by doing 5-10 minutes of skipping/jogging to prevent getting injured & get the best performance.

Warming up increases your body temperature which improves your muscle elasticity, thus reducing the risk of strains and pulls. Also, a warmed-up muscle both contracts more forcefully and relaxes more quickly, thus enhancing both speed and strength.
