Eat banana for instant and sustained boost of energy before and after workout.

Bananas contain 3 types of natural sugar: Sucrose, Fructose, and Glucose as well as a significant amount of fiber. It has more digestible carbohydrates than all other fruit making it a great snack when you are feeling low on energy. Bananas give an instant, sustained boost of energy. Just 2 bananas provide enough energy for an intense 90 minute workout as well as other necessary nutrients.

However, if you are diabetic and have to closely regulate your blood sugar level, you need to be cautious with bananas as it can increase blood sugar levels quickly.
