
Sulphur or sulfur is a chemical element with the symbol S. Sulphur is an essential component of all living cells. It is a basic substance involved in utilization of oxygen. Sulphur is also a part of many bacterial defense molecules. It has often been called the "beauty mineral" and the "healing mineral" because of its ability to promote circulation and decrease inflammation. It is also believed that adequate amounts of sulphur can jump-start hair growth in people with deficiencies.
Sources of sulphur include meat, fish, legumes, nuts, eggs, and vegetables, especially onions.
