Menstrual cycle goes normally for 21 - 38 days and it depends up on person to person. It differs for different ladies. Some of the females may get it before the 21 days also and some may get it after 38 days also. It varies a lot. Also form the day the bleeding starts the first 7 days is the menstrual phase and pregnancy doesn't occur in this phase normally. If it occurs then it is a very rare case. Next 8 days which is from the 7 to 15 days is the secretory phase when the ovule is getting formed. The day 15th to 28 is the fertile period when the ovule is present in the uterus which can lead to pregnancy. After day 28 if the pregnancy doesn't occurs the menstrual phase starts and the cycle continues again.
