    You can loose weight be consuming lesser calories than your normal intake and at the same time burning more calories.

    Amount is not a matter for weight loss. Choose low calorie foods, healthy foods with include more of fibers, high in proteins, good fat. Plan a diet according to that & include more of fat burning foods. One should consume proper balanced diet 4-5 small meals.
