Why stretch marks?

I do exercises daily to reduce my pounds. I find that my stomach gets loosened. But I have got stretch marks in stomach and the thighs. Why I am getting like this? At times, the stretches become red. I am really frustrated. I apply Betnovate cream when turns red. Also at night, I apply coconut oil in my stomach. Please help me. Unmarried.

    Hi Sweety,

Stretch marks occurs mainly for 2 reasons - Pregnancy or weight gain. When your skin is stretched to maximum capacity, your skin's elastic fibers and collagen breaks down and the ruptured middle layer tissue can then be seen through the thinned outer layer of skin. Now that you are loosing weight, the marks are more visible. Continue with your exercise, balanced diet and drink atleast 10 - 12 glasses of fluids/ day (which can include water, juices, soups, milk, milkshake, etc). This way you can maintain the moisture of your skin.

I am attaching a link for some home remedies as well, i hope that helps:
