both r gud, but the form tht u have them in is very imp ... dun just go on the calorie.. also keep in mind the various nutrients.... you can improve the nutritional quality of chapati by adding bran(for fibre), soya ( for protein) to ur flour.
an interesting study about resistance starch states tht if this cooked rice cooled and thn reheated in a microwave or an iron vessel , the starch present in it will become resistant to digestion (the molecular structure of starch changes, and escapes the normal digestion process acting as fibre in the body.) this helps in losing weight , more over you can also add some veggies to ur ricve to make a nice pulav and increase the fibre further.
so moral being .. you can eat both for weight loss , just watch the quantity .
