while trying to lose weight should we eat more chapatis or rice?

    both r gud, but the form tht u have them in is very imp ... dun just go on the calorie.. also keep in mind the various nutrients.... you can improve the nutritional quality of chapati by adding bran(for fibre), soya ( for protein) to ur flour.

    an interesting study about resistance starch states tht if this cooked rice cooled and thn reheated in a microwave or an iron vessel , the starch present in it will become resistant to digestion (the molecular structure of starch changes, and escapes the normal digestion process acting as fibre in the body.) this helps in losing weight , more over you can also add some veggies to ur ricve to make a nice pulav and increase the fibre further.

    so moral being .. you can eat both for weight loss , just watch the quantity .

    Just get rid of both. Instead of eating roti with veggies the way you usually do, just take a bowl, put the veggies in their, and eat it like that. You'll probably end up eating more veggies then you usually do. I also like to drink dal this way. Dal is loaded with protein, which is crucial for weight loss. You can limit your rice to 1-2 meals per week.

    Compared to rice , chapati is more nutritional one. If it is red rice or brown rice then it is very good for weight loss. But make sure that fat should be limited. Choose healthy cooking style to make it as healthy. You can add oats, soya flour, bran to chapati to increase ur fiber & use very less oil or avoid oil.
