The body fat percentage of males is 13 % and for females its around 20%. So if the body fat percentage is increased then this level, it is considered high body fat percentage. We can reduce this body fat by controlling diet by eating low calories but it should be healthy diet and Exercises .Exercises includes cardio activities like Swimming, Jogging, Running, Skipping, etc. We need to do these exercises atleast 5/week for 40 min.

Hey Bhavya, do you mean What is percentage body fat ?
Percentage body fat is nothing but the weight of your total body fat divided by your total body weight. In short it describes the percentage of your total body that is composed of fat. It is useful in risk factor stratification; higher percentage of body fat indicates increased risk of cardiac diseases, diabetes, cancer etc. Percentage body fat is also useful in planning the fitness program and assessing once progress.
