What does Starving do?

My 17 year old sister is starving herself in an attempt to lose weight. What problems can this cause and how can i tell her this is bad for her?

    Tell her this:

Our body stores fat for the emergency purpose. When you starve, the tendency of the body to store fat increases, in anticipation of the emergency. Your metabolism goes down. So when you will start having normal diet, you will regain more than you lost, because your metabolism has gone lower than it used to be.

On the other hand, if you are giving regular foods to your body, it will not have a tendency to store fat for any emergency purpose. Your metabolism stays high.

The right way to lose weight is to never starve your body!!!

Starving is only going to help in the short term. But in long term it is going to do more harm. Tell her about these harmful effects like slowing down of metabolism, gaining weight, etc.

    Hi

Starving is not healthy way to loss a weight. When you starve , the body starts stores the fat in ur body & this increases ur fat percentage in ur body & Leads to many health problems. Best way to lose weight is eating proper meal with 4-5 times & doing any cardio exercise for 45mins. Drink more of water.
