A Few tips to lose weight:

    1. Drink lots and lots and lots of water.
    2. Exercise atleast 4-5 times a week. Can be gyming, dancing, swimming.
    3. Eat low carb, high protein, high fibre food, can be sprouts, veggies, chicken (grilled).
    4. Cut down on Junk food, sodas and SUGAR!!!
5.Keep it going and never stop atleast for a month to see the difference in you.

I have followed the above rules and have managed to lose 3kgs in 2 weeks.
I have enrolled myself in a gym 2 weeks ago and have a personal trainer who helps me get my curves back, as i am apple shaped at the moment and want to woo my boyfriend by the time he returns in Feb 2011 ;-)

Please share in your tips and questions to keep our weight loss efforts going !

I was in the same situation you are in last year. In May 2009 I weighed 95 kgs and I slowly worked to lose the weight for my wedding. My wedding is in November 2009. I am 5'3'' and I weight 67.2 kgs now. I need to lose another 15 kgs by my wedding which is in 99 days (3 months).

My weight is currently stuck so I am thinking of sticking to HIIT(high intensity interval training) and keeping active all day. I do not eat carbs after 6-6.30 in the evening and I start my day with a warm glass of water after chewing some jeera. But let me tell you... you cannot stick to the same plan and routine all the time. You need to change it on a regular basis when your body stops responding to it.

Time is of the essence ... Good Luck!

    Lekha ,

Its highly impossible to loose 5 to 6 kgs a month. If you try to do this then u will face many nutritional deficinecy. dont target on weight loss see that fat loss is there, all u want is that u shud be in shape on ur wedding. Weight should never be looked on. I suggest that please read a book called" loose your weight but dont loose your mind" by rutuja D. I am also trying to loose weight . I need to loose weight by atleast 10 kgs but then i felt that loosing fat is far more important and also dear there is no substitute to excercise

I would also suggest that loose weight and fat by eating and not by not eating like sweets and other stuff coz you cannot follow this entire life so better eat all stuff but in moderation so that your body is used to it. Please readthat book. I am reading that book twice ...

    Dear All,
I have undoubtedly failed the first time to achieve my weight loss goal...but i do not want to get demotivated or stop re-trying...Looks like i am nearing my wedding date sometime next yr ...and do not want to lose this opportunity to lose weight from the time left over for me to achieve my goals..I would love to get support and tips from you all...
I, as of today am starting off weighing 92.5kgs...and would want to lose the same 35 kgs that i had initially wished to achieve..
I am not used to exercise...kindly send in tips that would inspire me to slowly start on to burn calories so that i could gradually increase my intensity of exercise over the months..
