    a serious help required! weight loss issue :(

    i'm a mother of 2.8 yr old, weight 63kg, height 161cm, quite active. i'm trying to reduce my weight since ages it seems. this time i'd kept very modest target to lose 3 kg in 2 month... trust me i still couldnt lose!!!! ok this is what i do :

    workout:-

    mon, tues, wed, 1 hrs spinn + 30 mins ( running @ 10 km/h, rowing, cross trainner) trust me no exaggerations. thru friday moderate walking, sat - spin 1hr, sun strolling.
    i do regular house hold chores with take everyday approx 1 hrs, and keeping up with a very active child.

    food intakes :-

    morning lemon+honey with very warm water abt 500ml,
    tea + mari busc - 2 pc
    breakfast - honey cornflakes & milk / fruits (apples) / museli + fat free
    yogart.
    mid morning snack - apple
    lunch- daal + sabzi + 1 roti + onion,tomatoes,cucumber salad
    snack- tea+ mari busc- 2
    dinner around 730-8 pm - sabzi & roti / milk and fruit (apple/straberries)

    sometime once or twice in a week i treat myself with a cone icecream or chocolate ( i've a sweet tooth)

    water intake:-

    i'm drinking water on the days of my workout around 3 ltrs or more.
    and days without workout ,water is appox 1.5 ltrs.
    i take 0.1 cal yogart drink which is 50 ml - 1-3 in a day

    health issuse:-

    low vitamin d ( take suppliments regularly)
    i was hypothriod now it is under control and not taking medicine as advised by doctor.

    PLEASE ANYONE HELP ME TO BECOME 60KG PLSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

    I DONT EAT BURGERS, PIZZAS, OR BINGE IN ANY NAMKEEN, OR FIRED I DONT ENJOY THESE FOOD MUCH NITHER I CRAVE FOR THEM.

    hi anupama,

    i am bharathi ,i am also a mother of 2 years baby i can understand u.ur workout and food intake is fine,but u have to take mch more because u have to take care of ur child.i think u can take oats and ragimalt and vegtable juice.

    I have been going through the articles on life Mojo. it is really good and inspiring.
    My daughter (14 years) is obese and her weight is aroung 65kg. she is very active, physically fit , plays tennis also regularly. but inspite of all these her weight is on continuously increasing. I am really worried about her.
    can you suggest ?

    Sometimes its gene problem to be obese . Try to maintain her food habits. But dieting is not advisable for below 16yr. Anyway some simple & healthy tips which following.
    Diet tips: Choose healthy snacks like high fibers biscuits, steamed corn, steamed groundnut, popcorn without butter, buttermilk, fresh fruits juice without sugar, Fruits fruits salad without cream & ice cream, Choose healthy cooking style, let her continue the sports & go for jumping rope for 10-15 mins & climbing stair is also one of simple easy exercise , Cycling as well.

    You are right, I mentioned foods to eat & food to limit.


    Foods to eat
    Cereals & grains: Whole grains like ragi, brown rice, red rice, oats, whole wheat ,whole wheat bread.
    Pulses: Whole dals, legumes
    Vegetables : Include more green vegetables, fresh greens , all salad types.
    Fruits : lemon, orange, apple, watermelon, sweet lime, guava, papaya, grape fruits , pear, jamun.
    Milk & milk products : Skimmed milk , low fat curd , buttermilk, paneer
    Sugar: Artificial sweeteners in limited
    Fats & Oils : Oil in moderation -3tspoon in a day. Nuts like flax seeds, sunflower seeds, almonds
    Non–veg : Lean meat once in 15 days or month , skinless chicken , egg white, fish.


    Foods to avoid
    Refined products like maida, corn flour, white bread, white noodles, sago, refined rava
    Potato , yam , tapioca, red pumpkin, colocasia
    High calorie fruits like mango, jack fruits, chikoo, dates, grapes(both the types), custard apple , pine apple , wood apple , sugar cane , all types of juices, canned juices.
    Whole milk , cheese, butter, ghee, khoa, ice cream.
    Bakery products, sweets , jam jelly , chocolates, etc.
    Coconut oil , palm oil, butter, ghee, deep fried, pickles, chips.
    Organ meat , mutton, beef, pork, egg yolk.
