Think I have reached plateau?

Hi, I have been hovering between 108.6 to 108.2 kg from 26th March till date.
Any suggesstions on how to lose weight and break this plateau?
Will changing my restricted calorie diet help? At present I restrict myself to 1500 to 1600 calories per day.

    @Mihir
    whenever you try to lose fat for any sustained period of time - you may have hit a plateau which is nothing, but suddenly the fat no longer disappears. The human body is incredibly adaptive, and will do its level best to maintain equilibrium (homeostasis).
    Change is one of your best weapons against the plateau. Switching routines is one of the best ways to not only getting out of a plateau once you are in, but to avoid them altogether. Change can come in many forms such as your bed time, amount of sleep, eating patterns, types of foods you eat, adding more weight to exercise routines, and increasing the speed of your exercises. So, first start with change in diet. Try to have only fruits, salads, veg & no cereals & pulses for 1 entire day & then from next day you can start with your diet but dont indulge into junk & heavy fried foods.

    It's vitally important to replenish your fluids by drinking plenty of water on your weight loss program. Also, drinking a glass of water first before you eat something will make sure that you eat less as water will make you feel full.

    By shaking things up a bit and varying your program by introducing some new elements, you'll likely find yourself off the plateau and back on the road to progress in no time.

    Hi Sujeetha,
    My life style is sedentary. I have healthy b/f, Lunch and dinner mostly a mix of veg, non-veg (eggs and chicken) and fruits. I will try to limit myself to 1000-1200 cals. I think my main problem si late night snacking and addiction to soft drinks. Though nowadays I have shifted from cola to sprite but I just cant seem to get over my need for some carbonated drinks specially at 11:00 pm or so.

    Hi

    I think you known about the problem for you . One more think you having only 3 meals , can you make it as 5 meals which comes healthy snacks in btw like mid morning around 11-11:30am & evening around 5-5:30pm. Choose healthy drink instead of soft drinks. Some of healthy options for u : Lemon juice, any veg juices, lemon soda, buttermilk or masala buttermilk, green tea. Night snacking is not a bad habit but what going to have is more important so choose snacks like fruits( sweet lime, apple, guava, pear, papaya, green apple, grapefruit, watermelon, musk melon), Veg salad with lemon juice+pepper+black salt, sprouts with veggies, any liquids porridges like oats, dalia ( broken wheat), cornflakes with skimmed milk, poha with skimmed milk, puffed rice with veggies. Can you increase ur activity level daily. If you not able to loss ur weight , simple thing change ur diet patten & exercise patten.

    All the best.
