    My personal experience:
drink lot of water , one 250ml glass every hour,
Most Important: write down everything you eat and calculate calories, plan to eat 1100-1300 Calories everyday.
Try walking as much possible as you can if you cannot exercise. Maybe exercise on weekends
eat small 5-6 meals, adding up to max 1300Calories in total

Weight loss is quite mathematical, idea is to burn more calories than you eat. But it needs lot of discipline

    Hi Rashmi,

I agree with the points mentioned by Arun. Gaining weight after marriage is very common and good thing is you have made up your mind to start loosing it. Your target seems to be reasonable but you need to make sure to continue with maintaining the lost weight after 3 months as well. Some more tips mentioned below:

    * Add as much as fibre into your diet in the form of salads, fresh fruits, choosing whole wheat bread/ wheat bran bread instead of the normal maida bread. Also add wheat bran (outer husk of the wheat) into wheat flour in 1:3 (1 of wheat bran: 3 of wheat flour), for your rotis/ chapathis.
    * Switch to skimmed milk.
    * Have clear soups before your meal to suppress the food intake. As you are working, try including them for your dinners when you can relax and have your meal.
    * Add melons- Musk melons, Cucumber, Watermelon to your diet, which has ample amount of water content in it.
    * Have at least one cup of Green Tea everyday (probably in your office by 11 am), to improve your metabolism and increases body immunity.
    * Work and life can keep you busy but never have Late dinners or skip breakfasts.
    * Avoid too much of salt in the night, as it causes water retention.
    * Allowed Vegetables and fruits: Lauki(Ghiya, BottleGuard), Tori(RidgeGuard), Beans, Baingan(Brinjal), Gajar(Carrot), Mooli(Raddish), Chakunder (Beet root), Kheera(Cucumber), Green leafy vegetables like Palak(Spinach), Methi (Fenugreek) etc. Orange, Apple, Mausambi(Sweet Lime), Tarbooj(Water Melon), Kharbooja(Musk Melon), Nashpati(Pear), Kiwi, Amrood(Guava), Anaar(Pomegranate)
    * Avoid vegetables like Aloo(Potato), Matar (Peas), sweet potato and fruits like Chiku(Sapota), Pine apple, Mango, Lychee, Banana.

    Also, Note that

Total sugar/honey allowance in a day - upto 4 tea spoons
Total oil allowance in a day - upto 4 tea spoons

Last but not the least, Exercise HAS to be a part of your weight loss routine. So start off with any kind off workout like going to a gym or buying a treadmill for yourself. If you are buying, make sure to use it regularly as most of them end up putting clothes on them.. :)

Hi Rashmi, you can choose from variety of cereals like wheat flakes, corn flakes, oat flakes, all bran flakes, muesli, etc. Apart from that you could opt for dal cheelas of besan/ moong/ mixed dals, omelette (white part) with lot of veggies, boiled egg (white), whole wheat bread toast/ sandwiches/ bread upma. South indian breakfast items like Idli (Plain/rava/ sevai/ ragi), dosa (Plain/ rava/ ragi/ mixed flour), upma (rava/ sevai) and poha (plain/ papar poha/ murmura) are also excellent choices. As you mentioned that you are working, weekdays can be very difficult so save the south indian ones for the weekends. I am sure your family would love it too.. :)
