Parboiled rice definitely has a connection with stomach fat. It is a big cause of stomach fat as it contains a large amount of carbohydrates in them. This makes for a bloated stomach and a paunch to emerge. If you take a look at the people in places that eat parboiled rice as a staple diet, you will find most of them having a slight paunch. Added to this as most people drain the water after boiling the rice, as a result all the nutrients are lost and only the carbohydrates are left back. Parboiled rice can be healthy but it is necessary to consume it in limited quantities and exercise well to lose the fat.

    hey lucy ,
rice has a lot of carb , and hence it can definalty accumulate on the stomach , the key is to have it in limitation and double -triple heated m, which causes the carb to turn in to resistant tarch and hence would only contribute lik a fiber. or try to switch to brown rice , its healthy and fiberous unlike other rice, and also has some additional minerals and vitamins.
