Need to lose pregnancy weight

Hello Payal,

I have gone through some discussions and seen you have been a great help so thought of giving myself a shot .

I am 33 yrs old 5.2 inches and weigh 71 kgs .

When i became pregnant i was 63 kgs and it has now been almost 1 yr now . i am still struggling to reduce weight .

In past 4-5 months i managed to lose 4 kgs by following GM diet plan but i cannot do it any more .

i started running on a readmill for 5 kms everyday now .

I do not eat much and try to more fruits and vegetables .

Plz help me with this , i will be really thankful to u .

i want to lose minimum 5 kgs if not more .

Looking forward for the reply

    Hi anamika,

basically u need to chage your routine a little ,

    food wise -

early morning - have warm water and lemon,

breakfast- 2 brown bread toast without butter + fruit + tea / wheat flakes / oats with milk and fruit, pohe / upama (1 small bowl) + fruit, idli 2 pieces + chutney ...

mid morning - a fruit / buttermilk / coconut water / roasted channa / multigrain bicsuit / murmura.

lunch - do u have rice everyday ? if yes, you need to change it to brown rice, or have double heated rice. other good low cal options - salad + daliya pulav, brown rice pulav, mung dal khichadi, sevai pulav. you can also have 2 phulka (no ghee) + veg + dal + salads...

after 30 mins , have a glass of warm water and lemon , walk for 15 min at home, if possible carry your baby and walk.

around 5 - foods you have mentioned are high cal and nt nutritious, tick to the midmorning snacking options, add green tea / or other fluid, more is the fluid intake, better is the weight loss.

dine early , 10 pm is too late , have it around 7.30 / 8 pm - salads and soups
after 10 mins - either of those options mentioned for lunch.

around 9.00 - take warm water and lemon, and walk for 15 mins, if possible carry your baby ...

if you feel hungry later bcoz of having early dinner. thn have a fruit or a glass of milk.

only diet is nt enough, you wld need to exercise as well , whatever activity suits you and your routine can be selected , and make sure you work out for atleast 45 - 60 mins .
