but my wt seems to have increased by 5 pounds over the last two months! it is shocking and alarming...

Eat healthy and dont starve yourself. do not think a lot about weight. Also try to stay cheerful and happy even during PMS, tension also causes weight increase. By the way your age and hormonal changes also trigger weight increase despite of whatever you do.

    Swetha,
In your case ,increase in wt can be bco'z of muscle gain.In that case U may be feeling more active and 'll be having better stamina.
Or else u may be noticing change in ur eating pattern after exercise.U may be eating more after excercise.
As the glucose in the blood get used up after the excercise, the body sends the signal of being hungary. So, we start eating more after excercise.
To prevent this condition u should drink warm water before and after excercise.

    swetha,
threadmill are supposed to consume u r glucose and asks for more food after it.
do some wt. reducing exercise which consumes glucose. then do threadmill which will help you reduce wt.
also u should have some thing before running. some thing like a fruit and water atleast 30 minutes before.
