The easiest way to lose weight is burn fat and in order to burn fat you must exercises. Most of the clients at my gym are advised to concentrate on just cardio for the first few weeks. Running and cycling are the best exercises for losing weight. If you want to burn fat, then you must also ensure that you don't eat too much. There is no point in eating foods that contain saturated fat and then trying to work it off. It does not work that way. You must ensure that your body burns fat by reducing your calorie intake.

    Hi Arundhati,
Loosing weight is easy with combination of cardio activities and healthy low cal diet. But if you also want to increase muscle mass then, you wont be able to see much on weighting scale. Rather, you would see inch loss in your body. Because loosing 3 pounds on fat would be replaced by so much of muscle mass. So dont worry if you can"t see much on weighting scale.
