Are you counting calories? Not to worry. Sabudana is neither a protein food nor a fatty food. In fact Sabudana grains are considered as a rich source of pure carbohydrate. It has very little protein, Vitamin C, calcium and minerals. Here's the nutritional value for sabudana : 100 gm of dry sago gives 355 calories. It consists of 95 grams of carbohydrate, 0.2 grams of protein, 0.5 grams of dietary fiber, 10 mg of calcium, 1.2 mg of iron, and traces of fat, and vitamin B complex. You can safely include sabudana grains in your diet chart to fulfill the needs of carbohydrates.

Sabudana or sago is made by tapioca which is rich in carbs not protein or fat. It is not advisable for weight loss, diabetes, high cholesterol , etc.
