Hi Allison
Congratulations. Exercise is very important during pregnancy. Studies haven't shown any benefits for the baby, but exercise might help you feel better and maintain your weight. Exercise can help ease or prevent discomfort during pregnancy. It can also give you extra energy and prepares your body for labor by increasing your stamina and muscle strength. If you have no serious medical problems and you have an uncomplicated pregnancy, it's probably safe for you to do some exercising.
I would recommend you to join some antenatal classes where in you are made to do all necessary exercises along with breathing techniques like lamaze which would help you in delivery your baby normally, also yoga is considered as a good alternative to pregnancy exercises as along with blood circulation it also makes your immune system very strong which is prone to get weaken during pregnancy specially in last trimester.
It's best to check with your doctor before starting any exercise program. If your doctor approves, you can start exercising at a level that does not cause pain, shortness of breath or excessive tiredness. You may then slowly increase your activity. If you feel uncomfortable, short of breath or very tired, you should reduce your exercise level. Since you have been doing exercise before pregnancy so it won’t be difficult for you to start.
Your weight still seems to be high. The most comfortable exercises are those that don't require your body to bear extra weight. Swimming and stationary cycling are good options for you. Walking and low-impact aerobics can also be done if well-tolerated. Avoid activities that increase your risk of falls or injury. Also avoid long periods of standing.
Exercise plan cant be generalized. It varies from person to person depending on individuals health status, age etc.See to it you do proper planned exercise.
Take care.
