Chikoo might be one of your favorite fruits but it should be avoided from the fruit list when you are on a weight loss regime. Chikoo or sapota contain high calorie and sugar which initiates the glycemic index to increase. Therefore it is not recommended for diabetic patients because of its high sugar content. In spite of consuming chikoo you can go for other fruit option like banana, apple, and oranges. They not only add water to your system but also make digestive tract efficient and add natural glow to your skin. So just stay a bit away frok chikoos if you are someone who needs to reduce weight.

No, Chikoo or sapota are high in calories & high glycemic index fruit which is not advisable for weight loss & diabetes. It has some of health benefits but high in sugar.
