Ideally When should the last meal of the day be taken

Hi,
For weight loss:
When ideally should we have last meal of the day (Dinner)?

To ensure that the dinner does not add fat, what is the gap that we shoudl keep between Dinner and going to bed?

Are there any foods that we should avoid in dinner?

Incase we feel hungry later, which food can we eat?
Thanks,

    Hey Mihir,

the last meal of the day, your dinner should ideally be taken 3 hours prior to your sleeping time. we cannot give you a time frame as it depends on one lifestyle and timings. but around 7.30 - 8 pm should be good. while you sleep the metabolic rate decreases and hence there may be problem with digestion. rather to speed up digestion, one can consider walking for 10 -15 minutes at a medium pace after dinner

One must avoid foods that are hard on your system for digestion. for ex - channa dal , rajma, chole, meat, fried foods like samosa, parathas (fat loaded) are tough for digestion.

if you feel hungry late in the night, consider having a fruit, multigrain bisc (2 in no.)/ ooats cookies, or a glass of skimmed milk.
