Hi,

I am a vegetarian.

I wake up at 7 am and drink 3 glass of warm water, one glass with half tablespoon honey and little bit lemon, another glass of warm water with some fenugreek seeds and third plain glass of warm water, then have to do household work till 9 am then i have my breakfast (cornflakes / pauwa / upma with a glass of milk) then i leave for the office by 9:30, I reached office around 10 am then my job is of sitting and doing the work, i take lunch (one bowl of salad, 2 roti, one sabji), i sit for around 8 hours and then i leave my office by 06:30 pm and i go to gym at 7 pm then i start some warm up exercise for 15 min and then walking for 20 to 25 min and cycling for 10 to 15 min and then sit ups & other exercise for 10 mins. 5 days a week I reach home by 08:45 pm and then after 10 to 15 minutes i take my dinner, sometimes i eat panipuri, handwa, thepla etc and sometimes milk and cornflakes..

But their is no change in my weight. I am suffering from Poly cystic ovary syndrome. My current weight is 73 their is an increase and decrease o f 1 kg every month but not able to reduce more than 72. Please help me out.

    Hi, Dhara Shah

Insulin is a hormone which is produced in the pancreas with the primary function of converting the foods in to the energy. It helps in the transport of glucose to our muscles, fat and liver cells through blood stream. However, during PCOS, this function tends to get impaired , greater risk for heart diseases, obesity, diabetes and infertility.
    Dietary tips :
1.Try to select lower glycemic index foods such as whole grains (jowar, bajra, whole wheat, green vegetables, etc) as they will cause a slower rise in blood sugar levels. 2.Restrict simple carbs. 3. Include more of salads .4.limit foods high in saturated and trans-fats like whole milk and products, butter, red meat, fried foods, rich desserts, etc. 5. Drink plenty of water.
What u doing everything is fine .. But drink only warm water with lemon avoid honey , salt , sugar in the morning as wel as after dinner. continue fenugreek seeds . Include in btw healthy snacks this will maintains ur metabolism to helpful for wt lose .

    Thanks dear,

But, on net it shows that though corn has more fiber it has greater amount of calorie. And as my weight is not reducing i am afraid that if i intake corn in salad i may gain weight.

    Hi

Generally speaking in 3.5 oz (100 gr) of boiled corn contains between 60 and 80 calories. That to u taking with other vegetables also,so no prob to have in salad.
