    Ayurveda promotes the same set of rules as western medicine to reduce weight. There are no specific methods that are followed in Ayurveda that help in reducing weight. Ayurveda says that consuming more wheat based products rather than rice based products are the best way to reduce weight. Exercising and physical activity needs to be combined with a good diet and this will help you reduce some of the fat in the stomach region. Include horse gram and green gram in your diet as this helps in the reduction of kapha and medha, which are the primary reason for gaining weight.
