Good to hear you work out @ gym, try using treadmill. Another suggestion would be while doing workout's please ensure that you take barely enough water to moist your throat & not to fill your tummy!
Let me make my point very clear drink sufficient water thru the day but while your @ gym just enough to moist your throat. Good going buddy also lemme know your pattern of excersise, lets try & see if we can make a difference.

    Hi All,

Thanks for all your suggestions, guidelines. Much appreciated.

    Bobby,

I am working on tread mill for about 30 mins..burn about 250 Cals.
Alternative days I do Abs..now able to do only about 40..
Other than that I do some weight trainings and other stretch exercises for about 20 to 30 mins.

Yes I do drink lots of water...about 4 litres a day.

Totally I work out about 45 mins to 60 mins a day.Additional to it about 20 mins of meditation.

My only concern is I am able to reduce the weight moderately by all my Pants are still tight!!! I mean not able to progress much on the Tummy trimming!!!

Any more tips for Tummy trimming???

    Hi All,

I too have joined a gym for 4 months now.
Have been doing alternate cardio and workout.
cardio includes a 20 min treadmill, 15 cycling, 15 elliptical, 5 mins rowing and 5 mins stepper. plus abs which has crunches and rowing.
I also keep an eye on my diet.
Dinner includes just sprouts and fruits for a month now.
But I haven't lost any weight, just a kg, which keeps swinging.
Even trainer ain't able to tell why.
I have checked for thyroid too, but its not there.

    Anyone suggest what and why?
    What should I do?
My family and friends suggest I should stop the gym.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Srinath,

Mate your pattern sounds fine, which makes me wonder what could be missing?
Are you performing the excersise's in the right manner? Specially while doing Abs breathing does matter!

Tell me how long how you been following this excersise & diet pattern?

Moreover, along with your excersise I would suggest keeping away from the following atleast / until you find results:

    1) Soft drinks - Strict 'NO'
    2) Pasteries / any bakery item a big 'NO'
    3) Curd rice - plus you may reduce your intake of rice to just once a day preferably just for lunch.
    4) Ghee / Butter
    5) Bread / Bun
    6) Biriyani / ghee rice
    7) Juicy chicken / kabab's - rather reduce in take of non-veg include more veggies & pulses.
    8) Bananas
    9) Reduce intake of Tea / coffee [If you can't go without it just have 1 cup a day]

Instead try & take black coffee without sugar, it does help but i would suggest dont make it a habit just take it for a month.

If you are located in bangalore, You may feel free to contact me... i can share my personal experience.

Why don't you try yoga. It is not only good for reducing fat but for over all health. Yoga has some specific 'aasana' or postures for reducing tummy fat. However, you must learn them under expert guidance because yoga gives much importance to breathing techniques while exercising.

    Hello Megha,

you have to concentrate on fiber food and liquid juices. Try to eat food in which there is less amount of calories & more proteins. Include salad in your diet & have it twice in a day. Eat more green vegetables. During workout, try to reduce your relaxation time (not more 1 minute you should take for relaxation), try to drink less water or no water during workout.

Distribute your meal for 5 times a day.

Try to follow this for a month and I am sure you will loose your weight and inches very fast.

    Thanks,
    Sachin
