Protein only will not help in weight loss.For losing weight you should have a well balanced diet with all the essential nutrients in it.But protein can contribute in weight loss as it helps to increase metabolism as it take longer time to digest.and also helps in building muscles with proper work out and strength training.

I agree with you Pooja.Nothing alone helps in weight loss.For weight loss you definitely need to eat a healthy and balanced diet along with regular exercises. Protein no doubt helps in increasing metabolism as it take more time to digest,But not alone helpful.Just try to avoid proteins in dinner time.
