    Hypothyroidism is a condition in which weight loss is very slow.Here are some tips given below which can help you-
    # First of all make sure that you are having medicines on regular basis as prescribed by doctor. # Consider taking your calorie requirements for the day and breaking them into smaller, 250-calorie mini-meals. Frequent smaller meals can help balance blood sugar, prevent fat storage, and help you feel less hungry in general.
    # Consider a low-glycemic and/or low-carbohydrate diet. This means you limit the amount of starches - such as bread, pasta and rice - that you eat, and eliminate refined sugars.
    # Eat a diet of low-fat protein and complex carbohydrates like vegetables and fruits which are high in fiber.there are some fruits and vegetables which has to be avoided like broccoli, cabbage, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, kale, spinach, turnips, soybeans, peanuts, linseed, pine nuts, millet, cassava, and mustard greens as they have goitrogenic effect.
    #Exercise regulary for increasing metabolism.

    Hi Malvika,
    Peoples with Hypothyroidsm has to take care of the foods they eat and has to be too much active so as to get results. You need to burn calories by working out especially doing lots of cardio training workout. Cardio training exercises helps to burn body fat. Add a little bit of weight training atleast 3 times in a week so as to help toning up your body and at a same time improve your mscle mass so as to improve your BMR which will again help to reduce calories from your body. But let me tell you, dont expect any sudden results as persons with hypothyroidism takes a bit more time than normal individuals.

    Hi Mridula,
    Doing nay activity which includes just spreading a bed sheet will also burn calories might be quite less but it will burn. You can inrease fat burning process by doing more of weight training exercises along with cardio exercises. Weight training exercises will help to build up muscle mass which means that it will help to improve you BMR and thus would burn more calories. Also, cardio exercisse has proved to be very useful for the persons who are looking for reducing body fat percentage. You need to do weight training exercises atleast for 20 min every alternate days and cardio possibly every day or atleast 5 times a week for better results for 45 min per day. This type of exercises will help to reduce your body fat percentage and loose weight.
