Running involves many muscles in the body and provides the constant fat burn that is required to lose weight. Running on a treadmill is a good option, but if you opt for cross country running and long distance running you will be able to lose weight much faster. You should start off running slow in the initial stages and increase your speed as your muscles get used to the activity. You can also run up a flight of steps and this is a good exercise. You’ll know what I’m talking about if you’ve seen the movie Rocky. Happy running. Cheers mate.

    Hi Neha,
Running is indeed one of the best exercise to loose weight. Burning calories not only depends on the exercises but it also depends on various factors like age, BMR,weight and physical fitness of an individual and the frequency of an exercise. More is your physical fitness , less calories we would burn and more is your BMR and weight, more calories we would burn so you need to first consider these all factors before determining the calories burnt in running.
